Asha A completed her Master’s in Chemistry from St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Bangalore, and is a gold medalist in Kannada in her Bachelor’s program. She has good working experience in the conservation of palm leaf manuscripts and has knowledge about the ancient script Sharada. She has qualified in the Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) in the year 2020. She has also worked on the project of Photo-degradation of dyes. Her work areas include corrosion studies, synthesis of graphene oxide, and characterization techniques. Her research interests include ancient Indian sciences, material chemistry, nanotechnology, catalysis, and corrosion studies. She has translated a few scientific articles into Kannada to help it reach the common man.  She has an experience of one year of teaching at an orphanage, Anatha Sishu Nivasa. As a passionate reader and a writer of Kannada, she has authored a few general articles in Udayavani on youth-related topics. She is a member of the Board of Studies of the Kannada Department at St. Joseph’s College as a student representative since 3 years. She is the participant of Conservation Science Training and Research Programme (CoSTAR) – Module 2 at Lakshmi Mittal and Family South Asia Institute, Harvard University, in association with Harvard Art Museums, Harvard University & Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya.  She is currently involved in a project on pigment analysis of Mysore Paintings in CoSTAR – Module 2 and is working as a Research Fellow at the Centre.
