Opportunity for project associate
ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE POST OF ONE PROJECT ASSOCIATE FOR SERB CRG FUNDED PROJECT
Applications are invited for the position of Project Associate (1 No.) in
the project titled “An Electrochemical Approach to Recover Silk Sericin from Degumming Waste Water” for a SERB funded project under the CRG scheme.
Minimum Qualification: Master’s degree in natural or agricultural sciences or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized university and 2 years of work experience in a R&D laboratory or setting.
Desirable Qualification: Prior experience in working on proteins specifically silk or natural polymers. Knowledge of chemistry is also essential.
Emoluments: As per project norms
Duration of the Project: 2 years
Other Benefits: Eligible candidates may be entitled to register for Ph.D./M.Sc. (Engg.) by
research programme of Visvesvaraya Technological University.

Instructions:
• The position is purely temporary and initial appointment will be for a period of six
months which can be renewed based on performance.
- Mere fulfilment of qualifications/experience requirements does not entitle a
candidate to be called for interview. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an
interview and no TA/DA will be paid to attend the interview. - Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification and no interim correspondence will
be entertained. - Candidates should produce original testimonials/certificates, as a proof of the details
furnished in their application, at the time of test/interview for verification, failing
which they will not be allowed to appear for test/interview. - In case, the candidate decides to leave before the tenure, they have to refund all the
dues they would have drawn as monthly salary up to the time of leaving their
assignment in one go.
